School Nurses are on the front lines and are now linked into PATH's TeleHealth Network

Support access to health care services, including mental health, for all Pender County students.

Imagine the excitement for all parents/guardians and students when starting a new school year. Then imagine after just 10 days, all of a sudden, school is out for more than 6 weeks. That is what Hurricane Florence caused in Pender County. Many teachers, staff and students found their homes unlivable and the whole area was flooded by the rising waters of our normally beautiful rivers.

We are finally back in school but it will take quite a long time for things to return to normal. PATH, our partners and School Nurses are keeping a close eye on our community and providing access to an Integrated System of Health Care. A vital part of that is mental health services, which are needed now more than ever as Seniors try to make up for lost time, and students from kindergarten on up need to feel safe and secure.

This year especially, we hope you will consider a year-end gift to PATH so we can continue to provide access to Mental Health Care, Primary Care and Health Education to Pender County students and their families. Thank a Superhero School Nurse today!
